Waxploitation Records Set To Release KutMasta Kurt’s Redneck Games CD;Includes rare tracks with Beastie Boys, Linkin Park, Mos Def, More
Waxploitation Records, a leading label for hip hop and electronic music, announced it has inked a deal to release the upcoming KutMasta Kurt album titled Redneck Games.
KutMasta Kurt is the legendary artist/producer/DJ best known for his work with Kool Keith, Beastie Boys, Dilated Peoples and Linkin Park amongst many others.
Redneck Games is slated for release at the end of 2004 and includes rarities, b-sides and otherwise unavailable tracks that Kurt has done with Beastie Boys, Dilated peoples, Mos Def, Linkin Park, Del tha Funkee Homosapien, Mr Lif, Planet Asia, Blackalicious, Grand Agent, pmd (of epmd) and Kool Keith to name a few.
“This is a collection showcasing some of my best and favorite works,” says KutMasta Kurt. “The album ranges from songs by multi platinum artists, to a few groups you may not have heard of before. It took me many years of hard work in the barn to put this here sonic hoedown together, so enjoy and doesy-doe your partner.”
Waxploitation recently released the debut Dopestyle 1231 CD which KutMasta Kurt executive produced. Additionally Waxploitation is set to release the upcoming non-profit Genocide in Sudan CD which includes tracks donated by System of a Down, Gorillaz, Jill Scott, Yoko Ono, Jurassic 5 and more.
