Jesse Saunders Presents "House Music... The Real Story" And New Single "Luv 2 Luv U"
Jesse Saunders' story is one of the most important in the history of popular culture. From his hometown of Chicago, Saunders wrote, produced, performed and mixed the first original House music record, "ON and ON" in 1984, fore-fronting one of the most significant music revolutions in history. His brand of music would come to sell millions, dictating the sounds and styles of every dance floor across the globe over the past two decades. As it cemented itself into the popular consciousness, its roots would come to be largely contested and eventually forgotten. Written with author James Cummins, this autobiography tells the story of how it all unfolded.

As he retraces the development of House music from the streets of Chicago to the city's iconic nightclub, the Warehouse, to the biggest music labels in Los Angeles, and to eventual the adoption of House as the staple sound of English and European hot-spots, Jesse Saunders sets the record straight once and for all. Touching on celebrity and drug culture, he does not shy away from addressing the names and events that came to harm his beloved music. Jesse Saunders is an artist whose influence on modern music will never be forgotten.
Jesse Saunders is the originator of House music. A two-time Grammy selectee, he is also a long-time member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. In addition to his own acclaimed and influential releases, Saunders' has written produced and music for some of the biggest names in the music business.
Coming off the critically acclaimed 20th anniversary tour in 2004, which hit every hemisphere of the world, Jesse continues to stay at the forefront and set trends with his current release "LUV 2 LUV U" on Broken Records.
